A distant view of some metropolitan city

The threat of the Novel Corona Virus, as we call Covid_19 can be resolved when enough people are immune to the disease to transmission, either from a vaccine or direct exposure. Until then, governments that want to restart their economies must have the public-health, strong enough to detect and respond to cases.

The government of Pakistan has announced to lift lock-down with some SOPs from May 09, Saturday. It seems a brave decision when there is an upper trend on the graph, and the curve has not reached its apex. However, it’s coming out as “good news” for millions of daily bread earners in Pakistan.

On the other hand, our health system is devastated; we might witness our healthcare institutes and quarantine centers become overwhelmed soon if the epidemic spreads. The dilemma is inevitable. If we don’t lift the locked down, our daily wage earner will suffer; if we do, Covid_19 will take over us.

Tough times. May God sends his mercy upon us.

What’s the current situation of locked down and business activity in your region?
